Ownership, Operation and Location

The New Concord Area Pool is owned by the Village of New Concord and operated through the New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District (NCAARD). It is located on John Glenn School Road.

The pool will be open Friday, May 26 through Tuesday, August 22.

Pool Hours – Open Swim

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 12:30 pm until 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 12:30 pm until 6:30 pm
  • Saturday: 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm
  • Sunday: 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm

Moonlight Swims

  • On Selected Hot Days – From 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm

Pool Party Rentals

  • Evenings on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
  • 1 to 50 people: $150.00 for two hours

Swim Lessons

  • Swim lessons are available and are taught by Red Cross-certified lifeguards
  • Go to the NCAARD website for details.

Weather Policy

  • The pool will be evacuated at the first sign of thunder and/or lightning.
  • All visitors must stay away from the fence during storms.
  • If threatening weather still exists after one hour of evacuation, the pool will close for the day.
  • Once the pool is closed, it will not reopen.
  • On days when the temperature is forecasted to be below 70 degrees or the temperature does not reach 70 degrees by noon, the pool will close for the day.
  • Closure for safety reasons has the full support of the Village of New Concord and NCAARD.
  • Check the Pool Facebook page and the NCAARD website for weather updates.
  • Open swim may be canceled due to inclement weather.
  • To keep your season pass price from increasing, we may close the poor early on days when attendance falls below 5 people.
